KINGSLEY suffered a first defeat of the campaign when they crashed out of the T20 Knockout following a bruising 136-run reverse at higher-ranked Port Sunlight.
The Crofters had no answer to opener Ben McPherson (131 off 71 balls), who helped himself to 21 fours and a pair of maximums in a destructive innings that took the home team to 192-1.
Skipper Wayne Greve (54no) provided support during a first-wicket partnership that lasted until the final over and put 190 runs on the board.
Tom Waring (1-36) claimed McPherson’s wicket.
Well played @PortSunlightCC, a classy performance. Good luck in the semi final.

The night did not improve from there for Kingsley, who lead the way in Division Two after winning 12 successive matches, as they crashed to 56 all out in reply.
Only two batsmen, Hayden Lanza (19) and in-form Alex Wilson (18) reached double figures as Matty Howard (3-9) and Jimmy Roberts (3-3) mopped up the tail.
Chris Newton (2-23) and Taylor Cox (2-15) had broken through at the top of the order for the home team, who reach the semi-finals as a reward for their display.
