WINNINGTON Park’s second attempt to be promoted to South Lancs/Cheshire Division One will begin in the same place as last season’s – on Isle of Man.
The Burrows Hill outfit, with new head coach Matt Farr in charge, head to Vagabonds on Saturday, September 2.
They won last term’s meeting comfortably.
Congleton, runners-up in South Lancs/Cheshire Division Three during the previous campaign, are the first visitors to Northwich seven days later.
Park close the opening month with trips to Dukinfield and newcomers Didsbury Toc-H either side of a home date with Heaton Moor.
Winnington finished sixth last season, although without a 10-point deduction as punishment for their players’ part in an ugly fracas during a game in January they would have classified inside the top four.
October’s fixtures include a head-to-head with relegated Wigan before they host Liverpool Collegiate – third in the 2016-2017 campaign – the following week.
A return match against Congleton completes their calendar for 2017 before they return to action against Dukinfield on Saturday, January 6.
Vagabonds are due in at Burrows Hill for the closing game in April.
A 14-strong section is completed by Aspull, promoted from Division Three as champions, Marple, Oldershaw, Orrell, Oswestry and Port Sunlight.
