WITTON Albion manager Carl Macauley can enjoy a rare luxury of having all of his outfield players available for selection at Stocksbridge Park Steels tomorrow.

Full-back Matty Devine is ready to return after sitting out the past two matches, home wins against Bedworth last Saturday and then Belper in midweek, while he nursed an ankle injury.

However goalkeeper Danny Roberts is still only rated as 50-50, leaving Ryan Crump to stand by.

The former Southport goalkeeper has agreed to stay with Witton for the remainder of the campaign following an encouraging debut on Tuesday night.

“I’ve known Ryan since he was a teenager at Liverpool,” said Macauley.

“He did really well for us in difficult circumstances [against Belper], and I think it’s important to have that cover for Danny while he recovers fully.

“It’s so important that we aren’t caught short.”

He faces a selection dilemma in defence if Devine plays from the first minute at Bracken Moor.

With Michael Wilson available again after a holiday, there is a battle to be won with Scott Lycett for a place alongside Anthony Brown at the heart of Albion’s defence.

Tolani Omotola is pushing for a start too after scoring the winning goal as a substitute in a 2-1 defeat of Belper.

One player who won’t feature this weekend is front man Will Jones, whose switch from Colwyn Bay has been held up while he waits on international clearance.
