WITTON Albion’s reward for progressing to the next stage of the FA Trophy is a trip to Colwyn Bay.

The first qualifying round tie is scheduled for Saturday, October 29.

They are likely to line-up against a host of familiar faces, including former fans’ favourite Danny Andrews.

The wide man left Wincham Park for North Wales in the summer.

But he is not the only one at Llanelian Road who counts Albion as a former club.

Scott Bakkor, Will Booth, Chris Gahgan, Tom Schofield and Michael Roddy – one of manager Paul Moore’s newest recruits – are on the books there too.

Another, Kyle Armstrong, also had a trial at Witton when Brian Pritchard was in charge.

Fans of the Northern Premier League Division One North outfit will welcome back Rob Hopley for the first time since he left to play closer to home last November.

He had spent eight seasons there, punctuated only by a brief spell at Chester.

Brad Bauress, Prince Haywood, Karl Noon and Michael Wilson have also featured for Bay in the past.
