CHRIS Kouris’ maiden senior five-wicket haul for Davenham’s seconds was a highlight in a seven-wicket win at home to their Warrington counterparts on Saturday afternoon.

His contribution, plus a brace apiece for captain Michael Hitchens and Andrew Simmons, helped restrict the visitors to 116 all out at Butcher’s Stile.

Chris Truelove (54) and Oli Gallagher (43) then did the bulk of the scoring after tea to take the hosts to 117-3 by the 28th over.

Oulton Park’s seconds remain unbeaten in Division Two following a narrow three-wicket win at Congleton.

Youngster Elliott Ashwell (6-13 off 12 overs) was their star turn, ripping through the hosts’ batting order as they tumbled to 87 all out after winning the toss.

Skipper Damian Barton took 3-28.

However the visitors wobbled before Ashwell (23) and Barton (15no) edged them to their target at 89-7.

Northwich’s seconds cruised to a nine-wicket win in the same section after bowling out their guests Bredbury for just 56.

They needed less than 10 overs to reach that target at Moss Farm, recording a third success of the season.

Middlewich fell to a 10-wicket defeat at home to Ashton on Mersey.

The hosts failed to build on a foundation laid by Craig Johnson (32) at the top of the order, crashing to 93 all out at Haddon Field.

Their guests reached that target without loss in the 22nd over.
