MOULTON Legion stunned higher-ranked opponents on Wednesday to reach the last four of the Northwich and District League’s Team Knockout.
They trailed top-flight Gladstone B 3-1, only to roar back and win the next three frames.
Craig Reid kept his cool to take the decider.
Favourites Gladstone C, boosted by maximum breaks from Eric Webber and Adam Griffiths, brushed aside Division One rivals Castle Private B without conceding a frame.
Witton Chimes B, one of two bottom tier sides still standing, pushed Gladstone A before bowing out.
Meanwhile Lion B, also from Division Three, could not prevent Barn Owl C from leaving behind their league woes – the Barnton outfit progress after a comfortable 4-0 win.
Rudheath cruised through in the Supplementary Shield at Bowling Green’s expense, while Barn Owl B won by the same score at Salt Barge.
Castle Private A avoided an upset, easing past Iron Bridge.
The semi-finals line-up is completed by Owley Wood, who squeezed past Division Two rival Lion A by the odd frame in seven.
