STUART Kellett is part of a Cheshire men’s team hoping to secure the British Inter County Championship title this weekend.
They enter the final round of matches a single point better off than Yorkshire, who visit third-placed Lancashire, at the Premier Division table’s summit.
The Northwich darter, who reached the last 16 of a Professional Darts Corporation Players’ Championship tournament last weekend, landed the biggest single-dart average for Cheshire A in an 8-4 win against Lincolnshire last time out.
They travel to Cambridgeshire tomorrow, Saturday.
Matt Hunt, from Weaverham, and Winsford-based Dave Bird have been named in Cheshire men’s B team.
Meanwhile Winsford’s Bev Martin, who plays for Rudheath in the Cheshire Ladies’ Super League, will captain the women’s A team against their Cambridgeshire counterparts.
Rudheath teammates Jane Stubbs, from Northwich, and Andrea Hunt join her.
Heidi Williams, who also lives in Winsford, is part of Cheshire Ladies’ B team.
Cheshire currently occupy fifth occupy in the overall Premier Division table following a 24-13 aggregate success against fourth-placed Lincolnshire at Rudheath Social Club last month.
