RUNNING and cycling coach Jill Eccleston is on a mission to get everyone having fun and exercising.

Settle-based Jill’s fitness sessions are gaining in popularity week by week as word spreads about her inspirational approach and fun, friendly classes.

Whether it’s personally tailored one-to-one, school groups, running clubs, bikeability sessions or Parkfit or Athletit classes, there is guaranteed to be positive motivation, boundless energy and an informal, enthusiastic approach.

“I love getting people out there, getting fitter and enjoying themselves at the same time,” said Jill, whose Run Bike Fun sessions cater for all ages and abilities, men, women and children.

Jill has always loved the outdoors. Her passion for fellrunning has led her from events such as the legendary local race, the Three Peaks, into ultra-marathons such as the 62-mile Fellsman. On two wheels she has successfully tackled iconic sportive rides such as the Fred Whitton and the Etape du Dales as well as going off road on the Three Peaks Cyclocross.

These activities have led her via triathlon into multi-sport adventure racing and now Jill is keen get others involved in their own personal fitness journeys.

Jill’s clients have included people learning to ride a bike to beginner runners as well as more experienced athletes looking for a structured training plan and support towards specific events.

Fitness sessions for adults include Parkfit– an hour of outdoor circuits - and Athlefit, held indoors.

Jill teaches safe cycling and FUNdamentals of Movement in primary school sessions from Giggleswick to Kirkby Lonsdale and Malham to Cowling. These tick all the key stage one and two curriculum boxes and include games and activities to improve basic skills.

A British Cycling level one coach, Jill leads Breeze rides locally which are ladies-only outings specifically to encourage women to take up cycling. She is also a coach at Settle Harriers Juniors.

Jill said: “I want to help everyone achieve their goal by inspiring and enthusing, whether it’s to be able to run around the park without stopping, being able to change gear confidently, or simply helping you get motivated to get out there to do some form of exercise in this very beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales, which I can guarantee will make you feel great."
