NORTHWICH’S Will Alterman recorded a pair of top 10 results when he competed at home circuit Oulton Park on Saturday.
After qualifying 13th, a near-perfect start propelled him to second on track during the first Avon Tyres Formula Ford 1600 Northern Championship race for cars built before 1990.
He eventually crossed the line fifth, third in class, behind the wheel of his Reynard-built machine.
Alterman enjoyed an eventful second sprint, slipping a position to sixth on the opening lap before reaching the finish placed seventh.
