WEAVER Valley Cycling Club’s Jim Duffy clocked a personal best during Saturday’s Macclesfield Wheelers’ 10.
He completed course on roads around Chelford in 23:24, averaging 25.6mph after benefitting from a strong tail-wind, to finish in 16th place overall.
The original race distance was reduced from 25 miles because of roadworks.
At the front, Nigel Haigh (Strategic Lions) won in 21:33 from Andrew Martin (Champion System/VCUK).
