Bebington 1-2 Winnington Park
WINNINGTON Park are on course to ensure survival in the North Men’s League, moving seven points clear of the relegation zone following Saturday’s victory.
A double for attacker Pete Evans secured the Northwich outfit a fourth win from their past six matches in Division Two West.
The visitors created a series of early chances without netting.
Full back Sam Turley was effective, helping Park deal well with Bebington’s direct style.
The visitors took the lead 10 minutes before the break, Evans tapping home following a driving run from Danny Hancock.
Paul Stackhouse’s flick was saved brilliantly on the line in the second period before Bebington levelled.
But Evans wriggled free in the D to snatch a merited winner late on for his side, who rise up to seventh in the league table.
