South Cheshire Ladies 3-3 Winnington Park Ladies
WINNINGTON Park shared the spoils after a six-goal thriller at South Cheshire on Saturday.
With the hosts keeping a close eye on the visitors’ leading scorer Karen Morgan, it was Eileen Miller’s turn to shine.
She did so too, her hat-trick earning Park a deserved point.
Having gone behind early on, Morgan and Miller combined for the latter’s first goal before Leona Wyllie picked out Morgan who set up Miller for a second time.
South Cheshire responded with a quirk-fire double to move ahead at 3-2, but Miller’s third levelled.
Park’s defence of Kirsty Robinson, Jane Turley, Amy Holehouse and Lauren Miller protected stand-in keeper Coral Taylor – who performed admirably.
Park’s seconds suffered a 3-1 loss to Buckley in Division Three. Diane Fielding on target for the hosts.
