IMPROVING Northwich seconds celebrated back-to-back wins for the first time since September when they beat their Bowdon counterparts on Saturday.

Blacks cruised to a 55-3 victory at Moss Farm, rising to eighth in North West Intermediate League Division Two South as a reward.

They visit Didsbury Toc-H seconds this weekend.

In Division Three South, Winnington Park seconds’ scheduled encounter with Wirral thirds was called off.

The same fate also befell Northwich thirds, who had been due to visit Eagle seconds in Division Four South.

Park will try again at Manchester this Saturday, while Blacks make the short trip to Macclesfield fourths.

Winnington Park thirds lost in Division Five South for the first time since October 18, succumbing 38-5 at home to their Anselmians counterparts.

They will be hopeful of a return to winning ways when lowly Oswestry thirds arrive at Burrows Hill this weekend.

In the Raging Bull North West Colts League, Winnington Park’s juniors lost 24-17 away to table-toppers Chester in Division B.

Their hosts had lost only once in their previous 11 matches to date.

They host sixth-placed Rochdale next this Sunday, kick off 12.30pm.
