Meanwhile Northwich’s Abigail Davies competed in the junior women’s category, recording a time of 21:38.

A second assessment for the junior team is scheduled for the same venue in February.

She was eighth quickest of those eligible for the under 23s team.

Ex-Grange School student Emily Ford, now at Newcastle University, was close behind in 20:36.53.

For the men, another former Grange rower, Tom Ford, was 12th overall in 17:48.68.
