WHARTON Cons again got the better of Castle Private in Saturday’s quarter finals, repeating a victory they celebrated against their old foes in last year’s final.

The margin between their totals was 19 chalks at Wilmslow RBL.

Frodsham Red Lion also reached the last four following a 182-167 success against Oxton Cons, while Rudheath bowed out after losing by 11 marks to Houldsworth WMC at Packhorse.
