Rudheath B dropped a single chalk in a convincing success on their own green against Castle Private C in Section Two.

Newcomers Alsager Institute continue to impress, posting 234 at Helsby, while Wharton Cons C conceded only four points at home to Moulton RBL A.

Bragging rights belonged to Bunbury in Section Three following their derby success against Tarporley RBL B, while Coppenhall claimed the only away win by 10 chalks at Hazel Pear B.

Owley Wood B are the only team with a 100 per cent record in Section Four, though they only squeezed past guests Davenham B by one chalk on Friday night.

Norley and Winsford Cons C matched each other’s tally, 224, in victories at Moulton RBL B and Winnington B respectively.

Leading pair Barnton CC C and Cuddington B both recorded comfortable wins in Section Five, with Rudheath D and Davenham D on the receiving end.
