DUATHLON: Baker fares well
CHARLOTTE Baker, who represented Great Britain at triathlon last year, finished fifth in her age group at the ETU Sprint Duathlon European Championships in Holland.
The former St Nicholas RC High School pupil placed 15th overall in the women’s race at Horst, but ranked inside the top five in the 25-30 class.
Baker completed the course, consisting of a 5km run, 20km cycle ride and then another 2.5km run in 1:07:43 – a marker that should be enough to guarantee entry to next year’s edition.
