STUART Kellett bowed out of the season’s sixth Players’ Championship at the third round stage to eventual runner-up Ian White on Sunday.
The Northwich ace eased past Zoran Lerchbacher and former World Youth champion James Hubbard (both 6-2) to reach the last 32, where he succumbed to the Stoke ace.
White, a quarter finalist at the World Championships last Christmas, lost 6-5 to Robert Thornton in the final.
On Saturday, Kellett's run ended in the second round at Wigan’s Robin Park Tennis Centre after he lost a deciding leg against Kevin Voornhout.
The 32-year-old returns to the same venue next month for another Players’ Championship double-header, which follows a qualifier for the Austrian Open on Friday week.
