HOCKEY: Park's women lead the way
WINNINGTON Park ended the season as leading scorers in the Cheshire Women’s League top tier following a final day victory against South Cheshire.
The Northwich outfit bagged 95 goals en route to finishing third in the table, overcoming their opponents on Saturday thanks to first half efforts from Jess Morris – who hit the net twice – and Karen Morgan.
With several regulars unable to featureg, Nikki Brocklehurst, Cathy Hewitson and Maz Rose stepped up from the second string to help seal the win.
