A THIRD successive defeat for Owley Wood A led to their lead at the Mid Cheshire League Premier Division summit being cut to 10 points.
Closest rivals Pockets C were their conquerors this time around.
Elsewhere champions Middlewich Legion D edged their B team clubmates, while lowly Legion A lost heavily at Castle Private A.
There is no change at the top in Division One, with pacesetters Castle Private B and Wharton Cons D matching each other’s result in wins against Pockets A and Owley Wood D respectively.
Winnington A’s advantage in Division Two is worth a point following their latest win, against Pockets D, while challengers Cosey Club reduced the deficit by hammering back-markers Winnington D.
Wharton Cons B moved off the bottom of the table after bettering Victoria B.
Meadowbank A whitewashed Owley Wood C in Division Three, while leaders Wharton Cons C won comfortably at Meadowbank B.
