WEAVER Valley Cycling Club members marked the start of the new season by riding close to 200 miles on a weekend training trip to Llanberis.

More than 60 took part, completing 100 miles on the first day on a route over Denbigh Moor – a passage often included on the annual Tour of Britain’s itinerary.

The group battled strong winds and heavy rain on the return trip the following morning, this time covering some 85 miles.
