MIDDLEWICH team Cheshire Stars T, third in the South Cheshire Premier League’s second tier, pushed clubmates Cheshire Stars S closer to the drop zone after winning their head-to-head last Monday.
It leaves Stars S in danger of contesting a relegation play-off.
Cheshire Stars Pink cannot now finish in a promotion position after losing 28-26 to Roundabouts in Division One. They occupy fourth place in the table ahead of their final fixture.
Winsford are favourites to end up third in Division Two after defeating lowly Ladyhawks O.
