SNOOKER: Owley progress
OWLEY Wood A were one of five Premier Division sides to make it through to the Mid Cheshire League’s Team Knockout quarter finals last week.
Despite ceding a handicap advantage to opponents Wharton Cons A, from the fourth tier, they proved too strong.
Pockets C matched that feat, against Division Three back-markers – and holders – Victoria C, while there were wins too for Castle Private A, Middlewich Legion D and Riley’s.
Cosey Club and Moulton, both from Division Two, complete the line-up for the last eight.
