JAMES Norman, a student at Grange School, has selected by Cheshire RFU to play for the county’s under 15s team.
The Winnington Park prop made the grade after impressing as part of a Central Cheshire training party, and now hopes to play in friendlies against Lancashire and Yorkshire in the new year.
“He’s proud of his achievement and quite rightly,” said Winnington chairman Richard Elliot.
“James is the only boy from any of the local schools – or from Park and Northwich for that matter – to make the squad in that age group. He’s done well.”
Norman reports for practice in the first week of January.
