WINNINGTON Park made it two wins on the bounce when they beat Bebington at Moss Farm in the North League’s Division Two West on Saturday.
The hosts took the lead despite early pressure from their guests, David Thompson collecting the ball in midfield before beating two would-be tacklers and firing into the circle for Mike Dodd. He did the rest.
The visitors drew level shortly afterwards though.
Park retook the lead when Dodd turned creator, battling through several challenges before sliding a pass to Thomas Hughes who finished from close range.
But Bebington struck back before the break, making it 2-2.
The Northwich outfit restored their lead in the second period, this time Paul Stackhouse converting a penalty corner.
Oli Wilkes and Daniel Hilton had shots saved before net-minder John-Paul Dodd produced a fine double stop to preserve his team’s slender advantage.
John Lavin earned Park’s second string a 1-1 draw at Colwyn Bay.
