WINNINGTON Park bowed out of the Cheshire Men’s Plate at the first hurdle with defeat to Triton at Moss Farm.

The visitors took the lead in the second minute when Tom Chaddock scored from the penalty spot.

Winnington restored parity before the break when Tom Hughes converted following a penalty corner but chances were few and far between with Triton only testing Park goalkeeper John-Paul Dodd on the counter attack.

A disjointed performance from the hosts proved to be their undoing though as Chaddock grabbed his second - and Triton’s winner - late on.

It left Park with too little time to mount a recovery.
