WITTON Albion host Kings Lynn Town for the first time at Wincham Park after a contrasting start to the league season from their newly-promoted guests.
Brian Pritchard’s men did at least pick up their first points of the campaign in a 2-0 victory at Nantwich on Monday, ending a sequence of three successive defeats.
The hosts have available again midfielder Michael Powell following a four-match ban, while Anthony Sheehan returns too after a holiday.
Striker Neville Thompson has yet to feature after nursing an Achilles injury picked up during a pre-season friendly, and is closer to making his Albion debut.
Shaun Tuck is available, but short of full match fitness.
The visitors have scored more goals than anybody else in four Premier Division matches to date, and that despite being shut out on the opening day.
In-form Dan Jacob has netted seven of a dozen goals Gary Setchell’s men have scored since.
The Linnets’ boss has added midfielder Gary Mills on loan from higher-ranked Boston United this week but his other main recruit this summer, front man Rob Duffy, is recovering from an ankle injury and has yet to feature.
Don’t be fooled by the interval score; Witton have led at the break in three of their four games, going on to win only once, while Kings Lynn have trailed at the end of the first half in all but one of their matches.
Just one ended in defeat though.
