Winger Jamie Harrison has announced he is to leave Witton Albion

Harrison calls time on Witton stay Harrison calls time on Witton stay

MIDFIELDER Jamie Harrison has cut short his second stay at Witton to play football closer to his home in Wigan.

He told Albion boss Brian Pritchard yesterday, Thursday, that he had considered his position after being restricted to a bit part role for much of the current campaign.

The 26-year-old has made only four league starts since his return to the Northwich club in September.

“It’s a decision Jamie himself has come to and I’m sad to see him go,” said Pritchard.

“He made a huge contribution during our promotion season, but feels the time is right for him now to play games locally so that he can spend more time with his family.”

For now, Witton retain Harrison’s registration for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

The wide man departs after making 50 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals.
