County cup clash to go ahead
NORTHWICH Victoria’s trip to Crewe Alexandra to play a Cheshire FA Senior Cup tie will go ahead after the pitch passed an inspection this afternoon.
However the contest will kick off earlier, now starting at 7.15pm.
Volunteers have spent most of the day helping ground staff at Gresty Road to clear snow from the playing surface, with much still to be moved even after a lunchtime check by the referee.
The League One club, bossed by former Vics manager Steve Davis, has confirmed that adults will pay £5 to watch the action.
Concessions pay £1.
Northwich, then with Andy Preece in charge, won 2-1 against Crewe at the same stage of the competition last season.
