Super family day at Brands up for grabs!

THE News Shopper and the management at Brands Hatch have teamed up to give your family the chance to win a fabulous day out at the world-famous racing circuit.

The winning mum and dad will have the choice of one of the following activities:

(1) The Nigel Mansell Racing School, where you will be given the chance to drive the famous Indy circuit in a BMW under the guidance of an instructor before being allowed to take to the circuit in a single-seater racing car.

(2) The Rally School, a competition specification Escort Cosworth rally car will provide your transport on the drive of your life. Once again, an instructor will guide you through your day on the specially built rally stage.

(3) The Ducati Experience, this will provide you with the ultimate two-wheeled thrill as you follow in the tyre tracks of such heroes as multiple World champion Carl Fogarty. Top road-racers will guide you around the classic 1.2-mile circuit.

(4) The 4X4 and Off-Road School, where you will take to the specially designed off-road course in superb 4X4 vehicles, tackling water splashes and ditches along the way. To meet insurance requirements you must, however, hold a valid driving licence.

And the children will not be left out as they can enjoy the chance to get behind the wheel on the Earlydrive course. Under the guidance of a Department of Transport approved instructor, they can learn all about the various aspects of driving.

For an adrenaline-pumping ride of a lifetime, youngsters can sit beside a senior Brands Hatch racing instructor, in a Van Diemen Multisport racing car, travelling in excess of 100mph. Youngsters, how- ever, must be at least 4ft 10ins tall.

As well as this superb prize, there will be five runners up prizes of a pair of tickets accompanied children under 14 are admitted free to any meeting of your choice during the 2001 season at Brands Hatch.
