Blooming marvels are just a click away

THE sun-dappled woodlands and shady dells of Marbury are bursting with the delightful sight and scent of a myriad of beautiful bluebells.

The glorious annual event is already enchanting visitors to the country park, but the time of flowering is but brief.

Dave James, ranger at Northwich Community Woodlands, said: "People have been visiting the park for the bluebells for generations.

"We've already had phone calls from people asking whether the bluebells have started flowering because they're well known in the area for putting on a beautiful display.

"They usually flower around the end of April and beginning of May but only last for two to three weeks then look stringy."

Fortunately Guardian chief photographer Nick Jones has been out and about in the woodlands capturing this inspiring season on film and you can see his video.
