Easyjet has warned customers about a new scam doing the rounds on Facebook.

The post offers two free flights for each customer to celebrate the airline’s 22nd anniversary and includes an image of an EasyJet boarding pass.

But the big giveaway is in fact, a scam

The url for the website - EasyJetlover.us - is really a malware site used by scammers to steal personal information from those who click on it.

But that hasn’t stopped Facebook users from the sharing the post.

A spokesman from the budget airline said: “EasyJet is aware of this fake Facebook competition and can confirm this is not a genuine EasyJet ticket giveaway, so don’t be conned.

“We posted on our own Facebook page earlier this week to warn our customers about this.”
