A SCHOOL has improved on its previous Ofsted to achieve ‘good’.
Crowton Christ Church Church of England Primary School, on Kingsley Road, received a ‘satisfactory’ report in 2012, but now boasts ‘good’ with some levels of ‘outstanding’ teaching.
“Teachers have a good understanding of the individual needs of pupils in this small village school,” said Ofsted’s report from November.
Pupils’ behaviour at the school was ‘good’, year six pupils performed above the national average for English and maths and the report said the school is expected to continue to improve under headteacher Heather Harris. This was voluntary aided Crowton Christ Church’s first inspection under the new Ofsted framework.
