Mid-Cheshire Movie Makers by Stephanie Heighton

Mid-Cheshire Camcorder Club has changed its name. It is now known as Mid-Cheshire Movie Makers.

One of the first meetings under the new name was a presentation by a couple working with a video agency and production company based in Keighley, West Yorkshire. Sean and Dawn Pearson from twenty twenty films gave a fascinating talk about producing films for corporate clients. They showed clips from some films they had made and gave valuable information on producing advertising films for specific products.

Sean and Dawn provided an insight into the sort of discussions that can take place between the client and the film production team, highlighting how ideas and suggestions from the film makers can mould and develop the concept to ensure that the end product meets the client’s requirements. Often, clients are themselves uncertain about exactly what they want a film to achieve. In such cases, it can be the creative input from the film makers that helps define the objective as well as the means of achieving it.

Twenty twenty films were thanked for a splendid and informative evening which was well attended, including members from Warrington and Crewe who had travelled to mid Cheshire Movie Makers for the meeting.

Mid-Cheshire Movie Makers meet at Winnington Park Recreation Club in Northwich on the second Thursday and last Thursday of each month. For more information, please go to www.m-ccc.org.uk or ring Stephanie on 01606 871920 or Geoff on 01606 781436.
