Lach Dennis WI by Joan Faragher
Due to the inclement weather this month’s planned Garden Party took place indoors at the home of the President, Joy Hoad.
Members provided a varied selection of delicious food, including savouries and sweets, accompanied by refreshing drinks.
There was a raffle at the conclusion of the evening’s business.
Susan Buckley was the Speaker at the June meeting whose subject was Aromatherapy. She brought a selection of essential oils, stressing how beneficial they were for the skin and muscles, encouraging healing and reducing inflammation.
Pauline Little had been our representative at the Buckingham Palace Garden Party and displayed her outfit that she had worn for the event. She enjoyed seeing the Royal personages, meeting WI members and sampling the cucumber sandwiches.
The next meeting is on Monday August 10 at 6.30 pm. Members will meet at The Big Lock, Middlewich, for a canal-side walk followed by a meal at the hostelry.
