PRESIDENT Wendy Cadwallender welcomed all members to the meeting.

As the evening was concerned with the 2015 WI Resolution there was, therefore, no speaker.

Members also brought in some savoury taster dishes for us all to try after the business part of the meeting.

There was good feed-back on Ruth’s coffee morning which raised £143 – the weather was glorious too.

Our next meeting for coffee will be at Costa on May 12, 10.30am onwards and the Walking Group will meet at the Bull’s Head at 1.30pm on May 19.

Next month will see Bostock celebrating a 95th Birthday – members will bring in indulgent desserts and some of us may dress up in an era of our choosing. A quiz has also been devised. Hopefully, we will get some good photographs.

On June 9 at 1.30pm, Bostock will be holding a fundraising tea party in Moulton Methodist Chapel Hall. There will be lots to browse through including a ‘nearly new’ clothes sale, books and cakes etc.

The last group meeting held at Winsford Academy was great fun, Barbara Laughton’s topic on ‘ A Bride at 60’ was hilarious.

The next group meeting to be held at the Academy on October 21, should be no less interesting – Jean Martyn will be speaking about how her life has changed since taking part in Britain’s got Talent – We can’t wait.

Wendy and Eva took time to cover the main points of this year’s Resolution – namely that the WI calls on HM government to remove the distinction between nursing care and personal care in the assessment of the needs of individuals, in order to advance health and well-being.

The resolution was carried unanimously by Bostock.

New members and visitors will be made very welcome – all enquiries to our Secretary Eva Williamson on 01606 75573.
