The last meeting of the year for Winsford Ladies Mid-week Club, held on December 10, was the usual end of year social event, with warm mince pies and drinks, a Christmas quiz and a special raffle.
It was an evening of convivial conversation enhanced by the John Breeze Quartet playing carols for members to sing to. The whole evening was relaxed and enjoyable.
Carole Fowles thanked the John Breeze Quartet for their excellent playing, and also thanked members Alison and Mary for the beautiful table decorations. These were subsequently donated to the Salvation Army for their Christmas party. She finished by wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 21, when speaker Donald Lodge will be talking about “The Life and Times of a Butler”. For further information about Winsford Ladies Mid-week Club please ring 01606 592724 or 01606594970.
