The December meeting of Antrobus WI was Margaret McDonald’s final meeting as President and she thanked everybody who had helped to make it such an enjoyable time. The meeting is always the Christmas party with pathetic jokes from crackers causing much hilarity.
Members enjoyed a glass of Bucks fizz followed by an excellent meal during which, Father Christmas visited and left presents. They listened to some beautiful singing accompanied by various musical instruments from “Stepping Out”, a group of people who obviously enjoy what they do.
Several members had attended the Village Group Carol service at Daresbury Church, which was accompanied by the Warrington Schools band, a very versatile group of young people.
The next meeting is on January 13, 2015 with a talk entitled “Small changes to diet” by Natalia Kerkham, in Antrobus Village Hall at 7.30pm.
