The August meeting of Winsford WI took place at the Fishpool Inn, Delamere where members enjoyed a splendid afternoon tea to celebrate the Institutes’ 25th birthday. Two founder members, June Sloan and Dorothy Thorne, were present.
Members were reminded about the Vale Royal Group Autumn Meeting on October 15 at the E Act Academy, Winsford featuring Chris Knight and his Olympic Dream. Ann, the programme organiser, passed round a list of probable speakers and topics for the members to consider for next year’s programme.
The September meeting will be held on Monday, September 8 at Meadowbank Lodge, Grange Lane, Winsford at 7.15pm. The speaker will be Maureen Williams with her topic "Five Generations of Cheese" more food!!
