Northwich & District Soroptimist International Club continues to be one of the most active in the area. It is a vibrant, dynamic organisation for today's professional and business women. They are committed to a world where women and girls together achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong and peaceful communities worldwide.

Members take part in a number of fund-raising activities throughout the year, on Saturday, August 2, they took part in the Northwich Community Fun Day at Vickersway Park. Sadly it rained all day. Cakes and books were sold for the SIGBI day of action and along with the money raised from the sales table at the Regional meeting they were able to send £100 for the BIG project.

The summer outing is a highlight of the year. This year members visited Norton Priory near Runcorn. After a very informative tour, a buffet was enjoyed and on this occasion the weather was perfect. Another annual event is the car boot sale at Weaverham. It was planned for August, 10, but the event had to be cancelled due to bad weather.

Another highly successful fund raising event was the Annual Auction of Promises which took place recently.

The Northwich Club meets at the Oaklands Hotel, Gorstage on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 7:30pm.
