CHRISTINE Widdall and Mike Lawrence were the guest speakers at the May end of season meeting of Mid-Cheshire Camera Club.

Both Christine and Mike have many years of experience of using flash photography at weddings, events and photographic clubs, and their talk and demonstration was about using this medium.

They managed to explain and demonstrate the techniques of using flash, which can be a complicated subject, in a comprehensible manner. Chairman Ray Hill thanked them, and added that he hoped they would return next season with one of their other talks.

The annual presentation evening was held at the Mill Pool restaurant, and presenting the awards was Gordon Jenkins from the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union executive committee.

He entertained members with his witty comments while presenting the trophies and certificates.

This year’s programme has included competitions, visiting lecturers and practical demonstrations.

If you are not sure if the camera club is for you, the first three weeks will only cost you £1.50 entrance with no obligation to join. Everyone is welcome at the club regardless of ability or equipment.

The Camera Club meets from September to May at 8pm on Wednesday evenings at the Dingle Recreation Centre, High Street, Winsford, CW7 2AS.
