THE boss of a new cleaning company based in Winsford hopes to expand to other parts of Cheshire after introducing a new technology to the market.

Mikle Allon took over the business – formerly known as ‘Ironing 4 U’ in December 2013.

And despite being three months into the venture Mike told the Guardian he wanted to open 10 shops across Cheshire – creating 30 jobs in the process – to keep up with customers demand.

Allons of Cheshire, based in Queens Court, off Sadler Road, uses no harmful chemicals and process all garments using new wetcare technology.

‘Miele Professional Wet Cleaning’ is a garment cleaning process that uses highly sophisticated washer and dryers to safely clean all articles of clothing that normally are dry cleaned.

Mike said: “We don’t use chemicals and we can clean more products with this technology.

“What we are striving to become is a complete laundry care solution, which people will be able to order via the internet.

“Our machines at the moment are running at 60 per cent capacity so we want to open up some shops across Cheshire and have them as collection points that we bring back to the factory for cleaning.”

He added he chose Winsford to base the venture because of the low cost of his new base and its close proximity to other towns in the county.

“In terms of distribution points it is central to Middlewich, Knutsford, Tarporley and Nantwich,” he said.

“But secondly the rent on the factory was very, very competitive and it was half the cost of anywhere else.

“On the back of that we got our business rates exempt, so I couldn’t have got a premises the size of this elsewhere – it ticks all the boxes.”

The firm has also launched the first online service where customers can order a collection and delivery service via the web site at allonsdrycleaning.com.
