ACCOUNTANTS and solicitors swapped their suits for chef whites when they cooked up a storm in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.

Andrew Hague from Howard Worth Accountants and Scott Harding from Poole Alcock Solicitors raised more than £3,000 for the charity.

The pair took over the kitchen at The Residence Restaurant and Bar and cooked a four-course feast for 62 guests at the Come Dine With Me-style event.

They whipped up spicy parsnip soup, potato salad topped with salmon and prawns, pork stroganoff and key lime pie under the guidance of The Residence’s head chef.

Andrew said: “Scott and I were overwhelmed with the support we received from everyone.

“The staff who volunteered their time to help out were absolutely amazing, and the success of the event is without doubt down to them.”

Scott added: “St Luke’s touches the lives of so many people in the community and it’s staggering that it needs to raise £2.8 million a year to keep doing what it does.

“We are thrilled to have been able to contribute to this in some small way.”

The money will go directly towards patient care at St Luke’s Hospice.
