DEL Boy’s Reliant Robin and the Ghostbusters’ Ecto-1 Cadillac were the star cars at the mayoral opening for Fords of Winsford’s new reception area.

Dene Ward Clr Mike Kennedy, and mayoress Hilary Kennedy, cut the ribbon at the used car dealership’s new development, which features an improved customer area.

They then shared in a weekend of celebrations marking 54 years of successful trading at the car supermarket on Saturday, October 19.

This included a special viewing of the collection of famous vehicles that had been assembled for the event, including a Formula 1 car.

General manager, Paul Campion, said: “At an investment of more than £500,000, our new reception building has been designed to both improve the customer experience and offer a more prestigious gateway to our 14-acre supersite. “We are both delighted and honoured that the Winsford town mayor and mayoress chose to officiate at its opening and share in our celebrations.”
