MORE than £190 has been raised for the Royal National Institute for Blind People (RNIB) by staff and customers at Boots Opticians, in Northwich.

The opticians held fundraising events throughout the week, including a ‘name the dog’ competition and the selling of tea, coffee and cakes.

The dog, donated by coffee shop ApeBars, was revealed to be called Gizmo after his name was drawn out of a hat.

In total, £190.52 was raised at the event, all of which will go straight to RNIB.

Staff at the opticians thanked their customers for being so generous and helping such a worthy cause.
