Lost in the Snow fills theatre

The launch of 'Lost in the Snow' was a massive success
THE Davenham Players Theatre was packed to capacity on Saturday for the launch of ‘Lost in the Snow’, the latest book by Davenham author Mike Beddard and Rudheath illustrator Rebecca Yoxall.
The duo were left overwhelmed with Saturday’s turnout.
Mike said: “It was such an amazing day but I’ve got great sympathy for JK Rowling now as signing so many books in such a short space of time is exhausting.”
During the afternoon, the audience of more than 150 people were treated to a reading from the book by Davenham Players Vanessa Duffy, Don and Paulette Anderson, under the direction of Ed Green, with sound, lights and visual effects.
There was also a supporting craft event arranged by Beth Anderson, which showcased plenty of talent from watercolours to cakes and textiles.
Rebecca, who is also an art tutor as well as an artist, said: “I was very impressed with the standard of work being exhibited and felt honoured that they had all come together to support us on our book launch.”
