YOUNG footballers in Hartford are gearing up for a tournament and fundraiser tomorrow, Sunday.
Hartford FC is hosting the event at the Green from noon, complete with a five-a-side tournament with other local clubs, food stalls, tombola, barbecue and mini football.
Hartford under sevens will also be sporting a new kit sponsored by Bolton Kia.
Andy Priestley, team manager, said: “After joining the club in September last year and having now completed a year of coaching and training, the boys are all now ready and extremely excited to play in their first football tournament.
“The tournament is a major club fundraiser and all are welcome to join us for a fun filled afternoon.
“We are also delighted to have the full support of our sponsor Bolton Kia this season and look forward to wearing our brand new red and black kit that they have kindly provided.”
Alex Purdie, from Kia, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring Hartford FC U7’s and kitting them out for their first season.
“The boys have been training hard and deserve all the success for the coming season.
“We appreciate how much work goes on behind the scenes to run a children’s football club so we were more than willing to help and are proud to have our name across the boys’ jerseys.”
