Information centre closes at Delamere

DELAMERE Forest’s information centre has closed ahead of refurbishments.
The centre, which closed yesterday (September 2), is set to be transformed into a new cycle centre, providing bicycle hire from TRACS UK.
Although the closure is permanent, the new cycle centre will have an information point on its completition in October, meaning maps and vital information will still be available to visitors.
A spokesperson for the Forestry Commission said: “There will still be a number of staff here during the day and at the weekends for people to talk to. The same amount of information will still be available and we’re looking to explore new ways of getting our information out to people.”
The Forestry Commission have asked the public to bear with them during the transition.
