Robbers attack man near River Weaver in Moulton

ROBBERS attacked a 22-year-old in Moulton and stole his mobile phone and a case containing two snooker cues.

The victim was punched to the floor and kicked by the robbers as he walked along the River Weaver towards Newbridge, on the side opposite the salt mine.

He suffered minor facial injuries in the incident, which happened between 11.45pm on August 13 and 12.15am on August 14.

The snooker cues were in a light blue and white case about 1.5m long with yellow stitching.

One cue is made of ash wood with red and blue details and a black star design with the writing ‘W.L. Sports′.

The second cue is half black, half ash wood with a red marble effect and the writing ‘Rileys′.

The stolen mobile phone is a light blue Samsung Galaxy Note.

Police described one of the robbers as a man, shorter than 6ft 2in and wearing a white T-shirt.

Both offenders were wearing dark footwear.
