Music train is on the way

AN AFTERNOON music train will pass through mid Cheshire on Wednesday, August 8.

Geoff Higginbottom and Rob Carroll will play guitars, bodhran and mandolin and sing traditional and contemporary songs on the 12.07 train from Chester to Ashley, before continuing their concert at the Greyhound pub, in Ashley.

There is no charge for the event, just the price of an ordinary train ticket and any food and drink consumed.

A collection is also taken for the musicians.

At the end of the afternoon musicians return on the 14.52 train from Ashley to Chester.
